The evening
What time does it start and end?
Doors open at 20:00. The evening lasts roughly three hours.
What should I wear?
Elegant.
Is it suitable for children?
Emma welcomes guests over the age of 18 only.
How is the room arranged?
Separate tables, arranged by reservation.
Is there music?
Yes. Live musicians play a different set at every dinner.
Food and kashrut
Is it kosher, and under whose supervision?
Yes. Emma is under the supervision of Shomrei Hadas, with Rabbi Padwe as certifying rabbi, and a mashgiach is present throughout the evening. Everything is pas yisroel and bishul yisroel.
Is the wine mevushal?
Yes. The wine is mevushal, poured throughout the evening by waiters approved before each dinner.
Will there be separate seating?
Yes. Mixed and separate seating are both offered.
What is on the menu?
Chef Asaf Zer designs a new menu for every dinner and sets it in advance. After each dinner, we publish that menu on this site.
Can the menu be adapted?
No. Chef Asaf Zer sets the menu in advance and does not change it, but we do our best to cater to your preferences.
What if I have an allergy or a dietary requirement?
Tell us about any allergy before the dinner, on WhatsApp, with your name and reservation number.
Share your dietary preferences and requirements when you reserve. We cater to every guest as far as we can.
Booking
What does the price include?
Seven courses by chef Asaf Zer, red and white wine poured throughout the evening, and still mineral water. Every guest leaves with a personal gift from the chef.
Soft drinks, cocktails and spirits cost extra. You settle them at the table at the end of the evening, together with any supplements.
How does the deposit work?
A fifty percent deposit secures your seat. You pay the rest at the table.
Can I cancel or transfer my seat?
Cancel up to 14 days before the dinner and we refund you in full. After that the deposit is non-refundable, but you can give your seat to someone else, who brings your reservation confirmation.
Can I book chef Asaf for a private event?
Yes. Chef Asaf takes private bookings for the important events in your life.
Getting there
Where is it, and where do I park?
The Chai Center, Parklaan 120, 2650 Edegem, has plenty of parking. By public transport, take bus 32. The price does not cover De Lijn tickets or parking fees away from the venue.
Is the venue accessible?
The venue is accessible to guests with reduced mobility. If that changes, we will let you know in advance.
