Who is responsible

What we collect, and why

The Guest List. Your email address, the language you chose, the page where you signed up and the moment you gave consent. We use it only to tell you when a new dinner date opens. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Reservations. Your name, email address, phone number, the number of guests, and any dietary requirements or allergies you share with us. We use this to hold your seat, to prepare your dinner safely and to contact you about your reservation. The legal basis is the reservation itself. Allergy and dietary information is used only to prepare your food, and to repeat it in your confirmation email so you can check it. Within Emma it is shared only with the kitchen team.

Booking emails. Once your deposit is received, we email you the confirmation of your reservation. It is sent through Resend, which receives your name, your email address and the reservation details in that email, including any dietary requirements or allergies you shared.

Payments. Deposits are paid through Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we only receive confirmation that the payment succeeded.

Messages. When you email, call or send a WhatsApp message, we keep the conversation for as long as it is needed to answer you and to handle your reservation. WhatsApp messages also pass through WhatsApp, which Meta runs under its own privacy policy.

Who processes data for us

We use a small number of services to run the site and the reservations: Cloudflare (hosting and visitor statistics), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments) and Resend (sending booking emails). Each processes data only on our instructions. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Guest List details are kept until you unsubscribe, after which we stop writing to you and remove your address. Reservation details are kept for as long as needed for the dinner and for as long as Belgian accounting law requires.

Cookies and visitor statistics

This site does not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not identify you. It tells us which pages are viewed, which site a visit came from, the type of device and browser, the country, and how quickly pages load. We also count how often each question on the site is opened. For that we store only the question, the page, the language and the day, never anything about who opened it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent to the Guest List at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to us.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
